Amplify bolsters senior client leadership after winning Afterpay, Netflix, Nike and Samsung
Global creative agency Amplify has announced the appointment of Steph Balme and Kate Boekhorst as senior business directors in newly created roles. This move follows a series of new business wins for Amplify, including Afterpay, Netflix, Nike, and Samsung, as the agency expands its Australian and APAC operations.
Both Balme and Boekhorst, who have recently worked in the UK, will oversee all senior client relationships at Amplify. Balme, who previously worked at global brand experience agency, Imagination in London, held various roles including UK Business Development Director. She brings a wealth of experience in the experiential marketing and creative industry, with a focus on integrated B2B and B2C campaigns. She has worked on accounts such as MDLBEAST and Rolls-Royce at Imagination.
Boekhorst spent seven years at Seed, Amplify’s specialist youth creative agency, working with clients like Adobe, lululemon, New Balance, Revolut, and Spotify. Her most recent role was Business Director. Boekhorst previously worked at Colenso BBDO in Auckland and started her career at Fuse, part of Omnicom Media Group.
Gareth Davies, Managing Partner at Amplify Australia, expressed his delight at the appointments, stating, "It’s a delight to be able to welcome Steph and Kate into the agency during a period of exciting growth for Amplify. Strong relationships are the foundation of Amplify’s business, which under Steph and Kate’s leadership will ensure our client service offering continues to go from strength to strength."
Both Balme and Boekhorst expressed their excitement about joining Amplify.
"Amplify’s forward-thinking approach to brand experience is driving significant value for clients both in Australia and globally. I’m excited to be joining the team at such a pivotal time of growth. I look forward to working with the Sydney team to seize new opportunities, strengthen existing partnerships, and expand our impressive client portfolio alongside this talented group," Balme said.
Boekhorst added, "With an amazing lineup of clients who are keen to produce innovative work and push boundaries, as well as big plans for continued growth as we look ahead to 2025, it’s a really exciting time to join the agency."
