Hamish & Andy continue in top podcast spot, Sky News, The Quicky jump up rankings
The August Podcast ranker is out from Commercial Radio & Audio (CRA) and shows Hamish & Andy continuing their number one position on the rankings with 897,086 monthly listeners as ABC News Top Stories rises to second place.
This month’s top five is relatively similar to recent months with the exception of the switch between ABC and Casefile True Crime from Audioboom for second and third place, with 763,841 monthly listeners and 651,998 monthly listeners, respectively.
Rounding out the top five were Mamamia Out Loud (524,800 listeners) and Bronwyn from News Corp (511,202).
The bigger movers were in the 10-20th positions, with Sky News Australia update jumping 10 places to 10th position (338,103 monthly listeners). Mamamia’s The Quicky also leapt 11 places to 13th position (284,588 monthly listeners). Crime Junkie was up 2 places to 15th (264,740 monthly listeners) and so was The Update by Nova (238,025 monthly listeners).
LiSTNR was once again Australia’s no. 1 podcast sales representation network for a record 24th time, with more than 400,000 additional monthly listeners than its closest competitor and 64 titles (32%) in the August results of the Australian Podcast Ranker Top 200 Podcasts.
LiSTNR said its AdTech Hub had outpaced total national CRA market growth (YTD) by nearly 16%.
Several LiSTNR titles grew their audience in August, including Happy Hour with Lucy & Nikki, which moved up seven places; Darling, Shine! with a 16% increase of listeners; The Briefing which grew by 25,390 listeners; The Howie Games; Smartless and Triple M Footy AFL
