Westpac turns Origin coin toss into a musical number via DDB
In a new campaign celebrating its ongoing partnership with the NRL, Westpac has turned the pre-game toss at the Origin into a full-out musical number that celebrates the untapped power within every dollar coin.
The work was developed by creative agency DDB, in partnership with media agency Spark Foundry and production house Revolver.
Sharing the campaign in a post to LinkedIn, Westpac Chief Brand & Marketing Officer, Annabel Fribence, said: "You may have spotted our new TV Commercial during the men’s game last night. Well, tonight you’ll see us featuring some of our female Origin players."
"And for those of you who aren’t footy fans, you’ll still want to know the end score because for every NSW and QLD try scored by the men’s and women’s teams during the 2024 State of Origin series, Westpac is donating $5,000 to the Westpac rescue helicopters in their respective state," she said.
