Phyron's AI-powered software turns 2D automotive retail creative into 3D renderings
Swedish video tech company, Phyron, has unveiled an upgrade to its AI-powered video creation software, now capable of rendering 3D images from 2D photos of cars.
This creative technological advancement is aimed at optimising the automotive retail sector by enhancing online customer engagement and reducing time-to-market for imagery and video production.
The vendor said its AI software can recognise the make and model of a vehicle and render a 3D model with high accuracy and fidelity, without any human input. To do this, it utilises AI and deep learning algorithms to continually improve and evolve its rendering capabilities. Phyron's software can also isolate subjects from backgrounds, render them in 3D, and fill in missing pixels, opening up new possibilities for producing high-quality marketing materials.
"This software upgrade raises the bar for promotional videos. It brings cars to life in away never previously possible. The results speak for themselves. The 3D renderings with a 40 degree pan really showcase the vehicles and elevate our automotive video classified ads to the next level," said Co-Founder and Creative Director Innovation at Phyron, Jens-Peter Sjoberg.
The adoption of Phyron’s AI technology has resulted in a decrease in creative's time-to-market, from three weeks to one day for imagery and video production. It has also led to improvements in views (+14%), website clicks (+31%), and direct lead generation (+8%). The platform is fully automated and requires no input or effort from dealer staff.
Phyron has over 2,500 dealers as customers across more than 25 countries, with over 130,000 car ads currently carrying a Phyron video. Since January 2021, its customers’ car videos were viewed more than 250 million times. The company has also expanded into the North American market.
