Stayz, AAMI, Ladbrokes, Chartered Accountants partner with Val Morgan Cinema for Deadpool & Wolverine release
Val Morgan Cinema is anticipating a major box-office hit as Deadpool & Wolverine hits cinemas today, with HOYTS pre-sale figures for the film are reportedly 2.5 times higher than the original movie and 1.5 times greater than pre-sales for Deadpool 2 at the same point in time.
Stayz, AAMI, Ladbrokes and Chartered Accountants have secured nationwide on-screen partnerships across the film, with other sponsors including QUT, Hyundai, Subaru, Samsung, Nandos, and Red Rooster as major sponsors.
According to Val Morgan Cinema, standard screenings of Deadpool & Wolverine are scheduled at all-time highs, with additional screenings to be added to cinema programs due to high demand.
"Cinema continues to be the most powerful medium for brands to engage with audiences during major Hollywood releases. We're excited to partner with these brands for the highly anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine. This strategic collaboration offers them an unmatched opportunity to engage with passionate moviegoers across the country, as the film gears up to be one of the biggest cultural moments of 2024," said Managing Director of Val Morgan Cinema, Guy Burbidge.
Private bookings and premium cinema experiences are also in high demand, with many opening week sessions already sold out. The Deadpool franchise holds the title of the highest-grossing MA15+ film in Australian history, and Val Morgan Cinema expects Deadpool & Wolverine to follow suit and dominate the box office.
"The extraordinary pre-sale figures for Deadpool & Wolverine are a testament to the enduring appeal of the franchise. Building on the phenomenal success of the previous films, with Deadpool holding the title of highest-grossing MA15+ film in Australian history, we fully expect Deadpool & Wolverine to dominate the box office. This sets the stage for a strong second half of the year, featuring highly anticipated sequels like Joker: Folie a Deux, Gladiator 2, Moana 2, Mufasa: The Lion King, and the original film Wicked," Burbidge added.
