Luke Girgis resurfaces as Providoor's new CEO, reunites with The Brag co-founder

The co-founder and former CEO of The Brag Media, Luke Girgis, has landed a new gig as the Chief Executive of premium meal delivery service, Providoor.

The move sees Girgis reunited with his former business partner, Sam Benjamin, whom he founded The Brag Media alongside in 2017, and later launched Rolling Stone Australia with. Benjamin, who is Providoor's Chair, acquired the troubled business in October 2023 after it collapsed into liquidation.

Girgis exited The Brag Media in April, just two months after selling the business to ASX-listed music technology business, Vinyl Group, for $8 million. Benjamin remained at the business for several months longer, and wrapped up his role as co-founder and Managing Director last month.

"This company is truly remarkable. Years of R&D have gone into creating restaurant-quality meals, delivered straight to your home with minimal prep time, crafted by some of the world’s most renowned chefs," said Girgis of the Providoor business, announcing his new role in a post on LinkedIn,

"I’m incredibly impressed by the years of dedication and innovation from the team, led by owner Sam Benjamin, to bring Providoor to this level. The quality is unmatched, surpassing any meal delivery service I’ve encountered. What’s even more astonishing is that many of these meals are often cheaper than buying the equivalent ingredients from the supermarket."
