Eight Communications to spearhead PR for NSW Wine Undustry's landmark events

Eight Communications has been appointed as the PR partner for the New South Wales (NSW) Wine Industry Association, tasked with promoting the inaugural NSW Wine Month in November and the return of the Sydney Cellar Door event. The Sydney Cellar Door event is set to take place on Tallawoladah Lawn in The Rocks on November 9 and 10.

Eight Communications' campaign will involve an always-on press office, promotional and activation ideation, media event curation, and general marketing and social media support. The agency will also focus on driving awareness and visitation to the Sydney Cellar Door event, which will showcase wines from more than 40 regional wineries in the heart of Sydney CBD.

"To be responsible for raising important and necessary awareness of the NSW wine industry is a task we don’t take lightly, and we are honoured to be working with NSW Wine and their partners DNSW and The Rocks to make November a month to remember," said Angela Cowley, Founder and Managing Director of Eight Communications.

"The team at NSW Wine are so passionate about shining a spotlight on their wines and through the re-launch of much-loved Sydney Cellar Door and the innovation behind NSW Wine Month, they are pushing the boundaries and we are excited to be on this journey with them, amplifying their great efforts," Cowley added.

"November is going to be all about supporting local and getting behind the NSW wine industry. Myself along with the Eight team look forward to raising a glass of Hunter Valley semillon, Mudgee shiraz and a flute of Murray Darling blanc de blanc, with the rest of NSW," Cowley concluded.

Eight Communications was founded in 2018 and has seen sustained growth with a diverse client base in the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors. The NSW Wine Industry Association (NSWWIA) is the peak body representing the NSW wine industry, formed in 1994 at the request of the NSW State Government.
