OMG Australia tops COMvergence media agency billings for fourth consecutive year

Omnicom Media Group Australia has maintained its leading position in the latest COMvergence Media Agency Billings and Market Share report.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that Omnicom Media Group Australia has held the top spot. The report is based on clients whose total media spend is equal to or greater than $0.5M (Top 2,000 advertisers). The total market assessed by COMvergence was $7.1B in 2023.

The top three agencies in the report are OMD (Omnicom Media Group), Essence (Mediacom), and Wavemaker (GroupM). The top four groups in the report are OMG (Omnicom Media Group), GroupM, Publicis Media, and Mediabrands. The merger between Essence and MediaCom was effective in early 2023.

The report also includes average digital shares for 2023 for 20 main categories. The report's rankings are based on billings and market share, not on the quality of service or client satisfaction. Nevertheless, Omnicom's consistent top ranking suggests a strong performance in attracting and retaining high-spending clients.
