Atomic 212° shakes up trading team: Lorraine Woods promoted, Alexandra Thomas joins

Atomic 212° has announced key changes to its trading leadership team including a team promotion and new hire.

Lorraine Woods, previously the National Head of Trading, has been promoted to the role of Chief Investment & Trading Officer, effective immediately. Woods has been with the agency since 2016 and her past experience includes senior roles at MediaCom, ZenithOptimedia, and Carat.

In a statement, Claire Fenner, National Chief Executive Officer at Atomic 212°, said,

"Congratulations to Lorraine on her well-deserved promotion, which is testament to Lorraine's leadership in developing and refining Atomic 212°'s market-leading investment product to maximise impact for our clients."

The agency has also welcomed Alexandra Thomas as its new National Trading Lead. Thomas joins Atomic 212° from Essence MediaCom, where she served as the Marketplace Group Director. Her career also includes stints at Carat, Bohemia Group, and Ikon Communications.

"I'm proud to be joining Australia's number one independent media agency and look forward to working with a really talented team. I'm excited to bring my 15-plus years of trading experience - and passion - to support the continued growth of Atomic 212°'s investment product," said Thomas.

These leadership changes follow a series of client wins and retentions for Atomic 212° over the past year. The agency has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Darwin. According to COMvergence, Atomic 212° ranked first among independent agencies in Australia in terms of new business wins and client retentions in 2023.
