AFL star Christian Petracca cooks up a storm in latest Grand Italian campaign

Grand Italian by Casa Della Pasta has unveiled a new campaign featuring AFL superstar and social media kitchen sensation, Christian Petracca.

The campaign, shot in a traditional Italian kitchen in Caulfield, Melbourne, introduces the new High Protein, Low Carb range of Grand Italian by Casa Della Pasta, with Petracca as the brand ambassador.

The campaign will be executed across digital, social and PR platforms. This marks the first campaign as part of an exciting brand evolution for the 38-year-old Australian company.

Petracca's reflections on his Italian heritage and the importance of pasta in his diet are highlighted in the campaign. The campaign also features Connie, the internet’s new favourite nonna, and her nonna friends, Margaret and Vidga.

“My fondest memories as a kid involve the kitchen where my Nonna taught me the art of making homemade pasta. The process was always filled with love and joy as Nonna guided me through every step, from mixing the dough to rolling it out.," said Petracca. "The way Nonna would sing her favourite songs while we cooked together made the experience even more unforgettable. This important feeling of love, family and connection is why I am so proud of this partnership.”

Wade Porter, CEO of Grand Italian by Casa Della Pasta, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership with Petracca. He said, “Christian is the epitome of everything that our brand is about and we couldn’t be more excited to have him as our first ever brand ambassador. Beside his sporting prowess, his cooking content and creativity in the kitchen has really captivated the nation. We were delighted to see Connie, Christian and the other nonnas revelling in the fun on set. The atmosphere in the air was very energetic! You could tell everyone had a great time and the content really shows an authentic connection.”
