Peter Barry returns to Pubmatic APAC to lead addressability, commerce media
Peter Barry has been appointed Vice President, Addressability and Commerce Media, APAC at PubMatic, marking his return to the company's Australian office after a stint in New York since 2021. Barry's new role will see him responsible for the rollout of PubMatic's commerce media solution, Convert, across the APAC region.
Convert is a platform designed to provide retailers, brands, and advertisers with a unified audience monetisation and acquisition platform. Its aim is to maximise the reach and revenue of commerce media. Barry will also work closely with publishers, advertisers, identity vendors, and industry bodies to ensure PubMatic's customers are maximising addressable opportunities across their businesses.
"I am excited to work with PubMatic’s APAC team again to drive the addressability and commerce media businesses across the region. I’ve learnt a lot from my time in the US, and now I’m looking forward to ensuring PubMatic’s customers make the most of both the onsite and offsite opportunities through our Convert product," said Barry.
During his time in the U.S., Barry led multiple cross-functional teams and played a key role in the launch of the Convert platform in 2023. Prior to his move to the U.S., Barry served as PubMatic’s Regional Director, Australia and New Zealand.

Barry will be based in Sydney and will report directly to Barnes.
