State of Origin Game 3 scores for Nine: Record BVOD audience as 864k tune in on 9Now
The third game of the State of Origin series has proven a ratings winner for Nine, bringing in a national TV reach of 5.426 million and national total TV audience of 3.652 million - 44.7% more than the year before.
The game saw the NSW Blues take out the Origin shield for the first time since 2021, toppling the Queensland Maroons in the second half of the decider match.
Metro average audience was 2.373 million, making the game was the highest rating match since Game 1 in 2016, and the highest rating Game 3 since 2013.
The event broke BVOD records, landing the highest ever audience of any program on 9Now with 864,000. According to Nine, that makes it the top rating program on BVOD of all time, across all broadcasters.
In metro markets, Nine's Game 3 Origin coverage topped ratings in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and landing in second position for Adelaide and Perth.
