Oracle and Shopify join forces to streamline data management and commerce experiences
Tech giants Oracle and Shopify have announced a new partnership, aiming to streamline data management and enhance commerce experiences for business-to-consumer and direct-to-consumer companies. The collaboration will integrate Oracle's Unity Customer Data Platform (CDP), part of Oracle Fusion Cloud Customer Experience (CX), with Shopify's commerce platform. This integration will enable joint customers to personalise real-time shopping experiences and targeted campaigns, utilising AI-powered recommendations and offers.
Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite provides businesses with leading finance, supply chain, and customer experience capabilities. Shopify's commerce platform, on the other hand, supports millions of high-growth companies. The partnership will enable businesses to quickly adopt Shopify's unified commerce platform and Oracle's integrated suite of enterprise applications. The aim is to improve financial efficiency, expand inventory visibility, streamline order processing and fulfilment, and enhance the customer experience for joint customers.
"With this collaboration, Shopify and Oracle can help retailers modernise their business operations with robust commerce solutions," says Bobby Morrison, chief revenue officer at Shopify. He further adds, "Together, we are demonstrating to our joint customers how we can enhance the commerce experience while reducing operating costs for businesses."
The companies say the collaboration will also allow organisations to activate new channels, reactivate dormant touchpoints, and expand into new markets.
