The Media Store appoints Phillip Brook as financial controller amid client wins

The Media Store, an independently owned media agency, has announced the appointment of Phillip Brook as its new Financial Controller.

Brook, a seasoned professional with 35 years of experience in the media, creative, and technology sectors, is set to bring his expertise to the agency.

His previous roles include Commercial Director at Wunderman Thompson in Asia and Chief Financial Officer at OMG Singapore. This appointment comes on the back of several new client wins for The Media Store in 2023, including Travel Texas, Cure Cancer, About Time We Met, and ZircoDATA.

The Media Store is one of Australia’s largest independent media agencies, boasting a client roster that includes Simply Energy/ENGIE, RMIT, Hino, Travel Texas, Cure Cancer, and About Time We Met.

Stephen Leeds, CEO of The Media Store, expressed his excitement about the new appointment, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Phil to the team. His extraordinary level of experience and admired reputation globally speaks to the talent our brand is attracting and we can’t wait to solidify our new business growth together in 2024 and beyond."

Echoing Leeds' sentiment, Brook shared his enthusiasm about joining the agency.

"I certainly wanted to move from the big networks to an agile and growing independent. I have stayed in touch with Stephen over the years and now having also met Jacquie (Alley, Chief Operating Officer), the values-alignment is there. I am excited to support the momentum The Media Store is experiencing, and preparing them for the growth that is coming," he said.
