Listnr and CommSec unveil new podcast to guide young investors
In a bid to demystify the share market for young investors, LiSTNR has launched a new podcast, CommSec Invest.
This series is part of an ongoing partnership between LiSTNR and CommSec, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of key investment concepts.
The podcast is steered by author, journalist, and presenter Jamila Rizvi. The eight-episode series is designed to complement CommSec’s refreshed Market Update podcast, which launched its new season in a fresh format earlier in 2023 on LiSTNR.
Each episode of CommSec Invest will last between 20 to 30 minutes, offering an easy-to-understand breakdown of key investment concepts. The podcast aims to provide insights from economic and investment experts, including CommSec Market Update hosts and market analysts Tom Piotrowski and Steven Daghlian.
Tom Piotrowski, from CommSec, expressed his enthusiasm for the new venture. "It’s great to be able to welcome a new generation of investors as they start their share market journey. This podcast will help them grow in confidence as they take their first steps and CommSec’s remaining educational resources will build on that growth as their journey continues over the years," he said.
LiSTNR Senior Executive Producer, Todd Stevens, highlighted the podcast's role in simplifying the share market for beginners.
"The share market can be a daunting place for a first-time investor, but this podcast breaks that complexity down into manageable steps. Upon finishing the eight episodes, listeners will not only understand the intricate world of the share market but will also have the confidence to start their investment journey," Stevens said.
The CommSec Invest podcast launched on 2 January 2024 and is set to be released twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
