Budget Direct unleashes 'Loch mess monster' in latest ad campaign

Budget Direct has unveiled its latest advertising campaign, 'Loch Mess Monster'. The campaign is the creative brainchild of 303 MullenLowe and features a pool cleaner transforming into a monster following a lightning strike.

The campaign also includes the familiar faces of Budget Direct's ongoing advertising series - Sarge, Jacs and Chief - who swoop in to save the day. Its debut marks the second instalment in Budget Direct's latest series, following the 'Rise of the Machines' campaign launched in September.

The 'Loch Mess Monster' will be broadcast across TV, cinema, online, radio and out-of-home (OOH) platforms nationally. Credits include key personnel from Budget Direct, 303 MullenLowe, Good Oil Films, Blockhead VFX, and Sonar Music.

2024 marks a decade of collaboration between 303 MullenLowe and Budget Direct, and the sixth year since the introduction of the 'Insurance Solved' platform. This partnership has seen the development of a series of successful campaigns, contributing to Budget Direct's increasing brand recognition and engagement.

Budget Direct's success isn't limited to its advertising campaigns. The insurer has been named 'Insurer of the Year' for 2024 by Canstar, marking the third consecutive year of winning the award. Additionally, in December, Money Magazine announced that Budget Direct had won Best Value Car Insurance and Best Value Home and Contents awards.
