SXSW Sydney has also announced the dates for its 2024 edition. The event, which brought together the Asia-Pacific's creative communities, will take place from Monday 14 to Sunday 20 October 2024.
SXSW Sydney Chair, Geoff Jones, expressed his excitement about the upcoming event.
“To say SXSW Sydney left a mark on the city in its inaugural year is an understatement. The team pulled together a remarkable grand-scale event that brought together APAC’s creative communities in a way the region had never seen before," Jones said.
"We are thrilled to announce the dates for SXSW Sydney 2024 in partnership with the NSW Government and look forward to opening more doors for innovators across the Tech & Innovation, Music, Screen, Games and creative industries."
With a total attendance of 287,014, the event also attracted 758 media and press attendees.
The organisers said the event's broad appeal was evident in the diversity of its attendees, who represented 41 different countries. The event also boasted a robust program, with 1,178 sessions and events taking place throughout its duration.
