LiSTNR gears up for a summer of sports with Triple M

As the Australian summer approaches, LiSTNR is set to deliver a smorgasbord of sports content to its listeners, kicking off with Triple M Rocks Cricket live from Perth’s Optus Stadium on 14 December 2023. The commentary will be spearheaded by former Australian cricket captain and Triple M’s Mark Taylor AO, promising an insightful and engaging experience for cricket enthusiasts.

In addition to the live cricket commentary, LiSTNR will also be home to the Willow Talk podcast, published twice a week. The podcast will feature sports commentator Adam Peacock, former Australian cricketer Brad Haddin, and current Australian Women’s Cricket Captain, Alyssa Healy, offering a blend of expert analysis and insider perspectives.

The Howie Games, hosted by Mark ‘Howie’ Howard, will continue its tradition of featuring interviews with well-known sporting heroes. Howard has also published his World Cup Tour Diary series in The Howie Games podcast, providing behind-the-scenes access to Australia’s World Cup victory and interviews with cricket stars like Ricky Ponting, Brian Lara TC, OCC, and Pat Cummins.

Sports Bizarre, hosted by Mick Molloy and Titus O’Reily, is set to feature a special two-part series on renowned cricket player, Keith Miller AM MBE, adding a touch of nostalgia to the summer sports line-up.

Mark ‘Howie’ Howard, expressing his excitement about the upcoming season, said, 'Commentating cricket on Triple M is the ultimate job, sitting alongside absolute legends of the game, calling the action and having a laugh is as good as it gets. Then, when the day’s play finishes, download a podcast or three and continue your sport fix. Happy summer days!'

SCA Head of Sports Content, Ewan Giles, expressed pride in the upcoming sports line-up, stating, 'We are really proud of LiSTNR’s sports line up.' The summer of sports content on LiSTNR promises to be a treat for sports fans, with a mix of live commentary, expert analysis, and engaging interviews.
