University of New England and Engine Group targets school leavers with nostalgic campaign
The University of New England (UNE) has unveiled a new multi-channel campaign, developed by Engine Group, aimed at attracting school leavers.
The campaign, which will run across TV, cinema, outdoor, digital, social, and event platforms, seeks to highlight the unique on-campus experience at UNE's Armidale campus. The campaign, tagged 'Let our history shape your future', was developed collaboratively by Engine Group and the UNE team. It aims to showcase the rich history, stunning architecture, picturesque landscapes, and collegiate atmosphere that characterise the UNE Armidale campus.
The campaign is timed to align with UNE's 70th anniversary in 2024, which will be commemorated with a series of on-campus and community engagement events.
Anthony Smith, Executive Principal – Brand, Partnerships and Business Development, University of New England, emphasised the campaign's focus on the university's community and reputation.
"Our Alumni cohort, and our wider community across the New England, North West, and North Coast of NSW were top of mind in the development of this campaign – to clearly distinguish the atmosphere and experience offered at UNE Armidale, and recognise that we have something very special here," he said. "UNE’s extensive history of 5 star ratings from the Good Universities Guide, which is unmatched by any other public university in Australia, also recognises that fact."
"This new local campaign beautifully complements the national campaign we developed for UNE’s online offer, through a powerful narrative and emotive cues'," Tim Weger, Engine Group Managing Director, added.
Engine Group Creative Director, Mike Fritz, also spoke of the campaign's aim to inspire future generations. '"Bringing to life the romance of the UNE on-campus experience was paramount in this campaign. A pride piece for current students, alumni and staff, as well as a warm invitation to those considering their next chapter. This campaign will surely inspire the next generation of great leaders to come through the doors of their historic Booloominbah House," he said.
