Gold Coast's JUNI takes flight: Fashion label launches globally with Shopify
Australian fashion label JUNI, founded by Gold Coast entrepreneur Ellie Watson, has made its global debut through a collaboration with commerce platform, Shopify. As part of a campaign showcasing local talent, billboards for JUNI have appeared in Los Angeles and the Gold Coast, using Shopify to sell globally.
Shaun Broughton, Managing Director (APAC) at Shopify, highlighted the company's cross-border tools as a means for businesses to overcome international challenges and accelerate growth.
"We're excited to partner with Ellie as she takes JUNI global, inspiring entrepreneurs to seize the power of global expansion. JUNI's journey from Australia to Los Angeles and beyond highlights how Shopify's cross-border tools empower businesses to overcome international challenges and accelerate growth."
JUNI recently launched its debut SS24 collection, Fleur, along with a childrenswear line, JUNI Junior. The collections are available in AU sizes 6-18 for women and up to six years for children. They can be purchased both locally and internationally via www.wearjuni.com and through independent stockists across Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and Asia.
Founder Ellie Watson has been involved in the e-commerce landscape since 2017 as the founder of The Wholesome Store, an online concept store for everyday goods.
“The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind. A month ago we launched JUNI – after nearly two years in the making – and now, seeing our brand and vision come to life on billboards in L.A. is just surreal. We're beyond proud to partner with Shopify on this campaign," she said.
The paid collaboration demonstrates the potential of e-commerce platforms in supporting local businesses to reach a global audience.
