Domino's Pizza to raise funds for youth mental health on World Pizza Day

Domino's Pizza is set to launch its third annual Domino's for Good Day on Friday, 9 February 2024, coinciding with World Pizza Day. Over 900 Domino's stores across Australia and New Zealand will participate in the event. On this day, Domino's stores will donate $1 from every pizza and 10c from every drink sold to the company's newly registered charity, Minds & Meals.

Minds & Meals is dedicated to supporting youth mental health through a national partnership with headspace. The charity has committed to contribute $750,000 over three years to support thousands of 12-25-year-olds across Australia in accessing vital support. In addition to this, Minds & Meals will also support disaster relief by delivering safe, hot meals and much-needed financial support during times of crisis.

"As one of the largest employers of young people, Domino's recognises the urgent need for youth mental health support in our communities. We are privileged to be in the position to respond quickly in times of major disaster and get safe, hot meals to those who need it most. I'm incredibly proud to be supporting both of these important causes through our new registered charity Minds & Meals, which is only made possible through the generosity of our customers who round up their orders and purchase pizza on Domino's for Good Day. This year, we hope to raise more than $300,000 across Australia and New Zealand with the support of everyday heroes who choose to eat Domino's pizza on 9 February!" said Don Meij, Domino's ANZ CEO and Minds & Meals Executive Director.

According to Jason Trethowan, headspace CEO, "With two in five young people experiencing a mental health disorder each year, the work of headspace has never been more important. By partnering with Domino's Minds & Meals, more young people will be able to get support from headspace when and where they need it most. With support from family, community and services like headspace, young people can get through tough times and look forward to a healthier and more hopeful future."
