New board takes the stage,
In leadership, women engage,
A new chapter's page.
Symbio's Cathy Doyle takes the helm at IWF Australia amid board reshuffle
The International Women's Forum Australia (IWFA) has announced a significant reshuffle of its board, with Symbio's Chief Experience Officer, Cathy Doyle, stepping into the role of President. This move marks a new chapter for the IWFA, an organisation dedicated to advancing women's leadership across industries.
Doyle, a founding board member of the IWFA since its inception in 2014, has held several roles within the organisation, including Membership Director and Leadership and Development Director. Her appointment as President comes after an eight-month tenure at Symbio, a leading tech company in Australia. Prior to Symbio, Doyle's extensive career has seen her in roles at Rabobank, McDonald's Australia, BNP Parabas, Perpetual, Qantas, Commonwealth Bank, and NRMA.
Doyle replaces outgoing President Lisa Grinham, who will continue to serve the IWFA as a Director supporting the Nominating Committee. This transition is part of a broader reshuffle within the IWFA board. Allira Hudson-Gofers steps into the role of Company Secretary, replacing Rachel Scanlon, while Donna McDowall takes over from Bobbi Mahlab AM as Communications Director. Gabrielle Dolan has been appointed as the Victorian State Chair, succeeding Sue English OAM.
The late former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, a founding member of IWF Georgia, once said, 'Without volunteers, we'd be a nation without a soul'. This quote resonates deeply with the ethos of the IWFA, an organisation that relies heavily on the dedication and commitment of its volunteer board members. The recent changes to the board reflect the IWFA's commitment to continual growth and development, and the organisation's dedication to fostering a diverse and dynamic leadership landscape in Australia.
