Sam Templeton joins electriclime, bringing creative smarts to APAC and MENA markets

Acclaimed filmmaker Sam Templeton has joined the director roster of electriclime, a move that promises to bring a fresh wave of creativity to the Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets.

Templeton, known for his work with high-profile brands such as Adidas, Nike, and The North Face, will be working with electriclime on a freelance basis.

The company claims Templeton's background in fine arts and experience in visual and special effects work in feature films have shaped his unique filmmaking style, described as humanistic, dynamic, and emotive. His years spent in Berlin, Germany, honing his craft and building his portfolio, have further enriched his creative approach according to the company.

In a recent statement, Templeton expressed his enthusiasm about the new collaboration.

“I’m excited to dip my toes into some new markets and electriclime has great coverage within their team. Also looking forward to working with some new faces - from what I’ve seen so far they’re good sorts and we like good sorts. They’ve produced some beautiful work around the world so I’m hoping we can add to that together soon," he said.

Templeton also shared his philosophy as a filmmaker, which focuses on the 'little things' that make a film believable.

"I believe my style as a filmmaker is humanistic, dynamic and emotive. As far as the process is concerned - inclusive, collaborative, positive and always looking to push for new ideas and new results", he said. "To me it’s the little things in life that make a film so believable on screen - the emotions, the nuances, the idiosyncratic behaviours."

His addition to the electriclime team is expected to bring a fresh perspective and a new level of creativity to the company's work in the APAC and MENA markets.

In the words of Templeton, "Nothing inspires you more than seeing something incredible you haven’t seen before.”
