Goodman Group appoints Giles Proctor as Vice President of Data Centres amid expansion
Global industry property and data centre developer, Goodman Group, has appointed Giles Proctor to the newly created role of Vice President of Data Centres.
The appointment comes as the business looks to expand its data centre offering. The group currently has data centres in 12 major international cities, with more in the pipeline.
"Giles will work alongside our regional teams globally to help deliver best in class solutions for our customers at scale. As providers of essential infrastructure for the digital economy, our ambition is to reduce time to market and provide fit for purpose solutions, and we believe Giles’ vast experience and strategic insights can best leverage our existing power bank for the benefit of our data centre customers globally," said Head of Asia at Goodman Group, Paul McGarry.
Proctor brings over 25 years of operational and technical data centre experience to the role, having previously worked at AWS, Equinix and Vantage Data Centres in the US and APAC. In his new role, Proctor will lead customer engagement with hyperscalers and collocators.
"I’m excited to apply my expertise and contribute to Goodman Group’s already impressive achievements in the data centre space, including 600MW delivered to-date, and a strong development pipeline. The goal is to further innovate our data centre solutions to meet the evolving demands of our global customers," said Proctor.
