Chris Hemsworth leads Australia's 15 'most influential' on Instagram - $1m per post
Chris Hemsworth could earn up to $1.04m per sponsored post, ahead of Katherine Langford and Hugh Jackman, according to a report by Melbourne-based SEO service, Impressive, on the top 15 most influential Australian actors on Instagram.
Leading the pack is Chris Hemsworth, boasting 58.5 million followers. The study suggests that Hemsworth could earn up to $685,000 USD or $1,041,208 AUD per sponsored post. Katherine Langford, known for her roles in Netflix hits, ranks second with 42.1 million followers, potentially earning up to $485,000 USD or $737,205 AUD per post.
The study analysed the Instagram followings of Australian celebrities to determine their potential earnings from a single sponsored post, based on influencer pricing from Inbeat and Hootsuite.
Hugh Jackman, with 31.6 million followers, is third on the list. The Wolverine star could rake in up to $365,000 USD or $554,989 AUD for each sponsored post. Ruby Rose and Troye Sivan rank fourth and fifth respectively, while other notable Australian actors in the top ten include Liam Hemsworth, Rebel Wilson, Nicole Kidman, Angela White, and Dacre Montgomery.
"Considering the huge screen presence and fanbase of popular actors, it is no surprise to see figures like Chris Hemsworth and Katherine Langford in the top five. Both have also starred in successful projects on Netflix, which may have helped them to gain an even bigger following by promoting themselves on multiple platforms," said Robert Tadros, CEO and Founder of Impressive.
He added, "These findings highlight the extent to which the number of followers someone has can affect their potential earnings online by showing a huge difference between the results at the top and bottom of the list. Regardless, it is great to see such a wide range of actors featured, with many still at the start of their careers."
