Marie Claire reveals judges and sponsors for 2024 Women of the Year Awards
Are Media's marie claire, a leading omnichannel content company for women in Australia, has announced the judges and sponsors for its fifth annual Women of the Year Awards. The awards, presented by Swarovski and supported by Volvo, Revlon, Dr LeWinns, Max Mara, and G.H. Mumm, celebrate women driving change in Australia and shaping the future. The winners will be announced at the Commercial One in Sydney on Wednesday, 13 November 2024.
The judging panel includes a diverse range of professionals such as journalist and TV presenter Edwina Bartholomew, CEO of film production company Hello Sunshine Sarah Harden, actor and activist Chloe Hayden, Volvo Car Australia's Marketing Director Julie Hutchinson, and journalist, newspaper and TV presenter Narelda Jacobs OAM. Other judges include chef and author Kylie Kwong, activist and author Grace Tame, SBS World News presenter Janice Petersen, Are Media Chief Executive Officer Jane Huxley, and marie claire Editor Georgie McCourt.
The 2024 Women of the Year Awards cover 11 categories including The Changemaker, Advocate of the Year, The Eco Warrior, The Voice of Now, Champion of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Creative of the Year, Designer of the Year, Rising Star, The Powerhouse, and The Icons. The winners will be featured in the December issue of marie claire, which goes on sale from 14 November.
"For nearly 30 years, marie claire has promoted and championed women, from the high-profile to the lesser known, all of whom who are all making a difference in many fields, including politics, tech, business, sport, social justice, advocacy and the arts. These awards are the perfect extension of what we've been doing as a brand for decades," said Georgie McCourt, Editor of marie claire.

Julie Hutchinson, Volvo Car Australia Marketing Director, highlighted the brand's commitment to championing women in tech and sustainability.
Amy Kingon Smith, Revlon Head of Marketing, and Alissa Cuthbert, Marketing Manager Hair & Skin, McPherson's, both expressed their companies' excitement to partner with marie claire and celebrate women's achievements. Maria Giulia Prezioso Maramotti, granddaughter of the founder and Max Mara Fashion Group Board Member, underscored women empowerment as one of their core values.
