Tennis Australia taps EMG and Gravity Media to deliver high-definition coverage for Laver Cup 2024
Tennis Australia has collaborated with EMG and Gravity Media to deliver comprehensive coverage for the Laver Cup 2024 at Berlin's Uber Arena.
The production utilised the Nova 105 IP UHD HDR OB truck, a tool that supported all aspects of the large-scale onsite production. The coverage was delivered in full 1080p HDR, showcasing high dynamic range footage. Outgoing feeds were converted to 1080p SDR, maintaining exceptional quality.
The technical planning was led by Lars Hilberink from the EMG / Gravity Media team based in the Netherlands. The production featured 49 cameras, including a network of behind-the-scenes robotic and specialty cameras. The project management team comprised Julia de Waal, Eric Pronk, and Georgy Tishin.
"I was impressed by all of our team’s professionalism and level of preparation," said Project and Account Manager for EMG / Gravity Media Australia, Georgy Tishin.
EMG and Gravity Media merged at the beginning of 2024, forming a partnership in global production and content, media services and facilities. The new entity includes more than 100 outside broadcast trucks and flypacks and over 30 studios and production facilities across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, the United States and Australia.
"Our team truly enjoyed working on this incredible project. We are proud to have contributed and are excited for future collaborations, as we explore the combined strengths and resources of EMG and Gravity Media," said Project Manager from EMG / Gravity Media Netherlands, Eric Pronk.
