Taste.com.au launches 'Taste Healthy' in response to rising health consciousness among Australians

Australia's leading food media brand, Taste.com.au, has unveiled 'Taste Healthy', a multi-platform ecosystem of content spanning digital, print, video, and social media. The new initiative is aimed at assisting consumers in achieving their health goals.

This move comes in response to recent research from The Growth Distillery, which found that a staggering 96% of Australians are seeking to improve their lives, with 90% identifying food as a key factor.

Taste.com.au's healthy newsletter has seen a significant 456% increase since 2021, now reaching an impressive 689,000 subscribers. Furthermore, the audience of health-conscious foodies on Taste has grown by 39% to 2.6 million over the past five years.

Taste Healthy will feature new recipe content, an enhanced recipe template across more than 50,000 recipes, a redesigned 'Better for You' module, and a Taste Health Score displayed across key recipes. It will also include dedicated topic pages and a refreshed healthy newsletter. The new content will also form part of a new Body+Soul collaboration, with the top healthy recipes appearing weekly in News Corp Australia's Sunday mastheads.

"Our content is evolving because consumer needs are changing and we want to remove those perceived barriers around making healthy easier," said Editorial Director Brodee Myers-Cooke. She added, "We have already seen a dramatic uplift in engagement and traffic to healthy content on our platforms and we expect to see even more with Taste Healthy. For example, Taste’s healthy newsletter has exploded by 456 percent since 2021 and now reaches 689,000* subscribers, while Taste’s audience of health-conscious foodies has grown 39 percent to 2.6 million^ in the last five years."

Taste.com.au is currently Australia's number one food & beverage media brand with an audience of 4.65 million, according to Ipsos iris rankings for April 2024. The launch of Taste Healthy is a strategic move to cater to the growing demand for health-focused content and to solidify its position in the market.
