Square's campaign shines,
Supporting local business,
Melbourne's heart aligns.
Square, Alchemy One, oOh!'s POLY launch claw machine activation at Flinders Street Station
Payment system Square has launched a campaign with Alchemy One to support local businesses in Melbourne. Featuring the Square Claw Machine, the campaign gave commuters a chance to win vouchers for local eateries powered by Square, including Manze, Hope St Radio, and Sloppy Joes.
Alchemy One is an independent media agency with clients including Bank Australia, Square, Lyka Pet Food, Independent Living Assessment, and Biennale of Sydney.
The campaign aimed to increase foot traffic and voucher redemption, demonstrating Square's commitment to its merchant community.
"Small businesses are the heart of what we do, and especially during these challenging times, we wanted to inject some joy, capture the public's interest, and connect them with Square sellers. Our main goal with this initiative was to shine a spotlight on Square as a brand that champions and celebrates its sellers, putting them front and centre stage," said Square Australia Head of Integrated Marketing, Annalise Booker.
For the first time, Square and Alchemy One collaborated with OOH Media's POLY to execute this campaign. The campaign was amplified through a station takeover at Melbourne's Flinders Street Station, wall decals, wall panels, and digital rail media. Square also worked with local influencers to generate interest and foot traffic, extending the campaign's reach beyond Flinders St Station.
"This is the kind of work that truly ignites our passion. The incredible collaboration between Square, Alchemy One, and Ooh Media (Poly) exemplifies the boundless potential of teamwork, proving that no idea is beyond reach. It serves as a reminder that our role is not just about envisioning great ideas but about tackling challenges and problem-solving, transforming them into tangible realities," said Alchemy One Group Business Director, Huong Nguyen.
