HERO bolsters PR chops, appoints AMPR's Ebony Santin
Independent Australian agency, HERO, has appointed Ebony Santin as Communications Director in a bid to strengthen the agency's PR and social media service offerings.
Santin, who will be based in Melbourne, work nationally across HERO’s client portfolio, which spans its three offices in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.
Santin joins the agency from AMPR, bringing with her a wealth of experience in PR, events, strategic marketing, and public relations. Her previous role as Senior Communications Manager at AMPR saw her leading impactful communications across events, activations, partnerships, press, and social strategy campaigns.
"We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Ebony to the HERO team. Her PR and events expertise and strategic prowess are perfectly attuned to the needs of our clients’ integrated communications. She is well-connected and results-driven and brings extensive public relations and strategic marketing experience working on some of Australia's most high-profile brands. Santin has worked with high-profile brands such as Accent Group, Swisse, Chemist Warehouse, PUMA, Elizabeth Arden, and Revlon. She has also been involved in major event campaigns including the NGV Gala and the 2020 Formula 1 Rolex Australia Grand Prix campaign.
"Working as an integrated team is truly the way of the future for marketing, so joining the HERO team was an opportunity I didn’t hesitate to jump at. Consistency of message across platforms is so important for delivering seamless campaigns, so I can’t wait to join the team on the journey from strategy to impact, to shift the dial for our clients," Santin said.
HERO's PR offering has grown following a series of recent award wins, new accolades for Maybelline’s Cannes Lions winning 'Through Their Eyes' campaign at Spikes Asia 2024, the second installment of Maybelline’s social change campaign 'Under The Avatar' going live, and Toyota’s new bZ4X TVC lead campaign, 'Barry'.
