A new role to fill,
Digital chief officer,
NSW's tech thrill.
NSW Department of Customer Service hunting for a Chief Digital Officer. $320k+ role
The NSW Department of Customer Service is in the market for a new digital chief, and it is paying top dollar with the salary range advertised coming in at between $320k and $357k. Service NSW CEO Greg Wells, (pictured) is currently running an information session online.
Alas, we couldn't convince anyone to live-tweet the session. While the government is publicly keen to get people back to the office, it has indicated to applicants that hybrid arrangements are available.
According to a LinkedIn post about the role, the successful applicant will "play a pivotal role providing supportive and strategic direction across diverse portfolios of Service NSW Products achieving objectives for the organisation and NSW Government."
"Most importantly you will ensure an organisational culture which embraces change and innovation, drives continuous development and improvement to enhance key operational functions of digital delivery."
The Department, via Service NSW, was widely recognised as a star performer during COVID, and the NSW government is rated as one of the strongest in IT. As we reported last year, Service NSW put CX at the heart of its operations and remodeled digital service delivery.
