Adobe unveils fresh innovations in Illustrator and Photoshop
Adobe has announced a series of new innovations in its professional design applications, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
These updates introduce fresh ways for designers to bring their visions to life across various design elements, and provide creative professionals with new methods to iterate design concepts and create complex, custom outputs more efficiently.
In the latest release of Illustrator, Adobe introduces new tools including Generative Shape Fill (beta), powered by the latest Firefly Vector Model (beta), Dimension Tool, Mockup (beta), Contextual Taskbar, Retype, enhanced selection tools, Text to Pattern (beta), and Style Reference. These tools are designed to offer designers new ways to create and manipulate design elements, enhancing their creative capabilities.
Photoshop's latest release also introduces features to accelerate core creative workflows. The new Selection Brush Tool, Adjustment Brush Tool, enhancements to the Type Tool and Contextual Taskbar, and Generate Image, powered by Adobe Firefly Image 3 Model, are all designed to enhance the creative process. Adobe Firefly powers generative AI innovations in both Photoshop and Illustrator, demonstrating Adobe's commitment to integrating technology into its tools in a way that respects and supports the creative community.
Ashley Still, senior vice president, digital media at Adobe, said, “The most creative people across illustration, design, photography and beyond trust Adobe’s tools to deliver the most innovative features to maximise productivity and accelerate workflows across ideation, design and production.
“Adobe’s new innovations in Illustrator and Photoshop are built directly into designers’ existing workflows, offering new ways to create and helping them to work faster and focus on what they do best - drawing, designing and bringing their creative visions to life.”
In line with the company’s AI Ethics principles, Adobe said it's committed to integrating technology into its tools in a way that respects and supports the creative community. The latest Firefly Vector Model (beta) is now available in Adobe Illustrator powering Generative Shape Fill (beta), Text to Pattern (beta) and Style Reference.
