A new foundation,
Modern philanthropy's dawn,
Change through unity.
New philanthropic initiative JW Foundation appoints iD Collective
JW Foundation, a new initiative by developer and entrepreneur Jonathan Webber, has brought on iD Collective as its communications and brand agency. The foundation aims to modernise philanthropy in Australia, with a commitment to making meaningful impacts, fundraising, and advocacy to drive positive change in individuals and communities.
Jonathan Webber has contributed to the development and construction of over $3 billion worth of property across Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, and Tasmania. His new venture, the JW Foundation, is a not-for-profit foundation supporting key charities.
The foundation's inaugural event, 'Beyond the Veil', in partnership with Atlantic Group, Penfolds, and LifeChanger, will be held in Melbourne on 22 November. Proceeds from the event will directly support LifeChanger's initiatives, which aim to empower young people with essential social and emotional skills.
"I am deeply humbled to launch the JW Foundation with an event set to merge the worlds of art, elegance, and philanthropy. “Beyond the Veil” is not just a celebration of creativity but a commitment to creating lasting change through purposeful giving. We look forward to sharing this vision with our invited guests and to set the ‘foundation’ for making a tangible impact in the community," said Webber.
iD Collective offers services in brand strategy, advertising, communications/PR, social media, events and digital, with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Auckland. Amanda Booth-Jellis, iD’s co-founder / Executive Director, expressed her support for the foundation's vision.
"The JW Foundation is looking to create thought-provoking event experiences to facilitate change and fundamentally reintroduce the strategic approach of raising awareness to key causes needing our help. We are delighted to support Jonathan Webber’s vision wherever and however we can with beliefs that align closely to our own as a business of purpose," said Booth-Jellis.
Scott Watters, Founder of LifeChanger, also expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership. "At LifeChanger, we believe in the power of collective action to drive real, lasting impact, and the launch of the JW Foundation is an exciting step in that direction. Jonathan (Webber)’s vision for philanthropy — one that brings together people from all walks of life to create change — aligns perfectly with our mission to transform young people’s lives."
