Triple M Perth's new dawn: Xavier Ellis and Katie Lamb to host breakfast show

Perth's 92.9 Triple M radio station is welcoming a new hosting duo to its breakfast show, with Xavier Ellis and Katie Lamb to take the helm from Monday 21 October 2024.

The pair are both already familiar voices on the Triple M airwaves. Ellis is a former Australian Football League (AFL) player who transitioned to media following his retirement in 2016. He was part of the team that launched Triple M in Perth, demonstrating his versatility and adaptability in the media landscape.

Lamb, known for her engaging social media skits, has spent over a decade building her radio career. She was most recently the host of Triple M’s 'The Rush Hour'.

"I’m so excited to team up with my good mate, Katie. I thoroughly enjoy laughing with, and at Katie on-air, at the pub or on social media. We’re going to have a fun time together, and we can’t wait to bring this fun to our wonderful listeners. On a side note, I will be auditing her Monday 'sick days'!" said Ellis.

"Besides the 4am alarm, I’m so excited to move into Breakfast! I feel like Xav and I will have a lot of fun together, we are both in our 30s and both love a good time. It’s a match made in heaven! I can’t wait to see out the rest of the year together and hit the ground running in 2025. I’m super excited and so grateful for this opportunity," said Lamb.

SCA Chief Content Officer, Dave Cameron, said: "Xav and Katie’s genuinely hilarious relationship will deliver Perth a pretty special and exciting new experience at breakfast time. Their mad love for Perth is undeniable, and we know our Triple M listeners will instantly love this new wake-up call."

The show will air weekdays from 5.30am to 8.30am on 92.9 Triple M.
