VMO launches 'Ultimate Media Champion' competition to lift physical, mental fitness in media

Val Morgan Outdoor (VMO) has launched the Ultimate Media Champion competition, an initiative aimed at promoting health and wellness within the Australian media industry. The competition is open to all media agencies in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, with 210 participants to be selected for the challenge.

The selected participants will undergo a six-week 'Fitter, Faster, Stronger' program with Fitness First, preparing them for a state-based final challenge. The competition is not solely focused on physical fitness, but also emphasises the importance of mental health fitness, reflecting the significance of well-being in the media industry.

The male and female champions from each state (NSW, VIC, QLD) will receive a $5,000 Webjet voucher, a one-year Fitness First or Goodlife membership, and an exclusive UMC title winners belt. VMO, an outdoor network that utilises data, solutions, and innovation to reach audiences in Australia and New Zealand, sees a seamless alignment in partnering with Fitness First and Goodlife for this initiative.

Paul Butler, Managing Director of VMO, said, "With the Ultimate Media Champion, our mission is to bring the industry together, champion the significance of well-being and actively foster a culture of health and wellness among the people we work with on a day-to-day basis. The competition has been designed to include both mental challenges amongst algorithm-based physical challenges, so it's not about being the fittest and strongest person. Mental health fitness is such an important part of our industry, and this competition reflects that. With our network of screens within health and wellness clubs across the country, there's a seamless alignment for us in partnership with Fitness First and Goodlife to launch this exciting initiative."
