ING partners with Seven Network to demystify finance for Australians

ING has announced a new partnership with the Seven Network, aimed at making finance and money topics more accessible for Australians via Sunrise and 7News segments.

The partnership will be led by ING's Head of Consumer and Market Insights, Matt Bowen (pictured), who will feature on daily and monthly Sunrise segments and will soon join 7NEWS. Bowen will provide viewers with expert insights into the day's top money stories and deep dives into key finance topics.

The partnership is part of ING's broader mission to help Australians get a step ahead in life and in business. This initiative comes in response to research by Kantar, which revealed one in three Australians lack confidence when it comes to financial decisions, with 33% finding finance and banking a 'scary' subject.

"We know Australians are open to conversations about financial savviness, but many don't know where and how to start. Our purpose at ING is to help Australians to get a step ahead in life and in business, so we're proud to be launching this partnership with Seven," said Bowen. "Our goal is to make finance and money topics easier and more digestible for everyone, regardless of what stage of life you're in.

"Through this partnership we want people to feel financially savvy and confident. I'm excited to join Sunrise, Australia's number one breakfast program that reaches more than a million Australian's each morning dominating the breakfast TV landscape and 7NEWS, Australia's most watched News service."

Bowen has been with ING since 2016, helping to translate complex financial topics into easy-to-understand content for customers. ING, which launched as Australia's first branchless bank more than 22 years ago, is the country's most recommended bank according to RFI Global's XPRT Survey (August 2023 - January 2024) and is the fifth largest main financial institution (MFI) with 6% market share.
