Super Retail Group appoints tech veteran Kate Burleigh to board
Super Retail Group Limited has announced the appointment of Kate Burleigh as a Non-Executive Director, effective from 11 November 2024. Burleigh brings over 25 years of experience in board and executive leadership roles across various sectors including technology, telecommunications, retail, and consumer lifestyle.
Previously, Burleigh was a member of Amazon’s global leadership team, serving as the executive chair and Australia-New Zealand country manager for Amazon Alexa and New Technologies. She also spent two decades with Intel, holding positions such as managing director for Intel Australia and New Zealand, and Asia-Pacific category manager for Intel Centrino mobile technology.
Currently, Burleigh is a director of Hollard Insurance Australia and children’s cancer charity Camp Quality. Super Retail Group Chair, Sally Pitkin, expressed her pleasure at welcoming Burleigh to the board, stating, "I am pleased to welcome Kate to the Board. With the role of data and technology underpinning our omni-retail strategy, Kate’s experience in driving digital transformations through a period of rapid evolution will provide fresh perspectives for the Board as we charter the next chapter of growth for the Group."
