Central Coast's Star 104.5 celebrates two decades of radio

Nova's Central Coast radio station, Star 104.5, is marking its 20th anniversary on air, with a celebration to take place on Friday evening to thank that station's staff, clients and partners for their support.

"It is an absolute privilege to be part of the Star team, who for over 20 years have played a pivotal role in our wonderful Central Coast community. From day one, our ambition has been to make a difference to our community, businesses, and our audience and every day our objective remains same," said Star 104.5 Commercial Director and Market Lead, Paul Moltzen.

"We are extremely proud of the impact a small group of locals are able to have on the everyday lives of so many. And we will endeavour to do the same for many years to come. Thank you to all who have played a part in our journey. As we say: we take what we do seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously."

The milestone event will be hosted by Star 104.5 breakfast duo Gina Jeffreys and Matt Baseley, and will feature an exclusive live performance by Samantha Jade.

Since its launch in 2004, Star 104.5 has served the Central Coast community as a trusted source of news and entertainment. It has held the position as the Central Coast's number one radio station for the past four years.

The station has participated in various community initiatives over the years and is the exclusive media partner of the Central Coast Mariners, the region’s only national sports team. It's other activities include delivering toys to local families during Christmas, sponsoring local sporting clubs and community events, and supporting Cancer Council initiative, Stars of the Central Coast, which has raised over $1.1 million over the past decade.
