Katherine Chen announced as new GM at Cummins&partners sydney

Former Managing Partner at VMLY&R, Katherine Chen, has been appointed as the new General Manager for cummins&partners in Sydney.

The appointment marks the completion of the agency's new national leadership team, signalling a fresh era for the company. Michael McConville, CEO of cummins&partners, expressed his excitement about Chen's appointment, describing her as a "brilliant human-being, an inspiring person, a loved leader and champion of people and the work".

Chen, too, expressed her enthusiasm about joining Cummins&partners. She noted the agency has "a clear vision, big ambitions and genuinely something different to offer and say".

Chen's career has been marked by a series of agency roles. Prior to her tenure at VMLY&R, where she served as both Client Services Director in Melbourne and Managing Partner in Sydney, she was the Client Services Director at Ensemble, IPG Mediabrands' brand, content, experiential and media arm.

Throughout her career, Chen has worked with a diverse range of clients, including Australia Post, Rip Curl, Australian Unity, Monash, Intel and Colgate. This breadth of experience is likely to be a significant asset in her new role.

McConville believes Chen's experience makes her the 'perfect fit' for Cummins&partners, particularly given their combined creative, media, experience, and effectiveness offering.
