Google honours top agencies at 2024 Excellence Awards

Google has unveiled the winners of its 2024 Agency Excellence Awards, acknowledging exceptional client work by agencies across Australia and New Zealand. The awards ceremony took place at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, in front of an audience of 300 industry representatives.

Mel Silva, Managing Director of Google Australia and New Zealand, addressed the attendees, emphasising the crucial role agencies play in supporting businesses in the current media landscape. "These Awards are a moment in which we all stop to recognise [agency] expertise, innovation, and the value you bring to your client partnerships", Silva said.

The awards were judged based on benchmarked performance metrics and case study submissions. The categories for the awards included Brand Awareness, Online Sales, Lead Generation, App Growth, International Growth, Measurement Solutions, Media Unification, Search Transformation, and Breakthrough Excellence.

Among the winners were Essence MediaCom Australia for Brand Awareness, Orange Line for Online Sales, Spark Foundry AU for Lead Generation, Ryvalmedia for App Growth, Online Marketing Gurus for International Growth, Sparro for Measurement Solutions, PHD Australia for Media Unification, OMD Australia for Search Transformation, and Growth Huntr for Breakthrough Excellence.

Rachida Murray, Chief Digital Officer of Spark Foundry Australia, expressed her gratitude for the recognition. "To be recognised for driving excellence is fantastic for the team. We're just coming to the one year anniversary of this partnership with HCF and to have achieved this much in such a short time is absolutely amazing. We're just really grateful to Google for the partnership, guidance and recognition."

Georgina West, General Manager of Product & Partnerships at OMG Digital, also highlighted the significance of the awards. "Winning these awards for both PHD and OMD respectively, is so important. As it really recognises the hard work, the teams put in day in and day out. Google is such a key partner for us, so for them to recognise this specifically is really amazing", West said.

Independent digital marketing agency, Orange Line, clinched the Online Sales award at the 2024 Google Agency Excellence Awards. The accolade recognises the agency's work with an Australian retailer, which saw a reversal in the client's performance decline and a significant 138% increase in revenue within the first quarter.

The agency's efforts also set new company sales records for the client within six months. This achievement underscores Orange Line's commitment to driving sustainable, long-term growth for its clients, a sentiment echoed by Alberto Sanchez, Paid Media Senior Director at Orange Line. "This award is a testament to our team's relentless commitment to client success," said Sanchez. "Our focus is not just on delivering exceptional campaign performance, but on building lasting partnerships that drive sustainable, long-term growth."
