Clementson steps up as EGM commercial at JCDecaux as Hines departs

Bronwyn Clementson has been promoted to the newly created role of Executive General Manager – Commercial at JCDecaux Australia, effective from 1 February 2024. The appointment comes as Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Hines is set to depart JCDecaux after a 30-year tenure.

Clementson, who has 14 years of service at JCDecaux and APN Outdoor (APNO), will join the company’s nine-strong executive leadership team. Her experience spans digital developments, managing contracts through global disruptions, and maintaining strong relationships with major commercial partners.

Clementson began her career as a Commercial Executive at APNO, later becoming Digital and Strategic Director. In 2019, she was appointed JCDecaux’s Group Commercial Director, managing the NSW and Airport contracts. In 2021, she was promoted to General Manager – Commercial.

"With 14 years of dedicated service at JCDecaux and APN Outdoor (APNO), Bronwyn Clementson’s rich history, diverse experience and strong partner relationships make her the perfect choice to step into this executive leadership role," JCDecaux Australia and New Zealand CEO, Steve O’Connor, said.

In response to her promotion, Clementson said, "I am honoured and excited to take on this new role. JCDecaux has been a significant part of my professional journey, and I look forward to leading the accomplished Commercial team and contributing to the continued success of the company, and that of all our commercial partners."

Meanwhile, Hines will remain with the company during the transition period until 30 April 2024.

O’Connor sent his sincere thanks to Hines for "his incredible work". "He has had a stellar 30-year career in Out-of-Home, working with JCDecaux and previously APNO. I wish him all the best for his year off and whatever comes next."
