Squealing Pig Wines serves up 'summer of love' campaign at Australia's first indoor pickleball supersite

Squealing Pig Wines, a major sponsor of the National Pickleball League (NPL), has kicked off its 2023/2024 'Summer of Love' campaign at the grand opening of the NPL's new indoor Pickleball facility in Melbourne.

Dubbed 'The Jar', this facility has positioned itself as Australia's first indoor Pickleball supersite. The venue boasts four championship hardcourts, a 150+ person event space, and on-premises beverages. It is now open to the public seven days a week, with the NPL and Squealing Pig aiming to fast-track the adoption and participation of Pickleball in Australia. The game is a combination of tennis, ping pong and badminton and has been around for more than 60 years.

The 'Summer of Love' campaign, running from November 2023 to March 2024, is designed to promote playfulness, positivity, and inclusiveness. The launch party, featuring DJ Emma Peters, welcomed a 100-person guest list from the media, lifestyle, and sport sectors.

As part of this campaign, Squealing Pig Wines has also partnered with the Australian Open and Mardi Gras in 2024. The brand's wines will be available at The Jar, the Australian Open, and the Mardi Gras festival.

The NPL and Squealing Pig plan to promote a summer of 'Piggleball', featuring content, events, and giveaways.

There are reportedly 38,000 nationwide participants in pickleball right now, which Squealing Pig Wines said it hopes to see grow to 1 million by the end of 2025.

Squealing Pig wine brand originated in 2010 in the Squealing Pig Vineyard in Marlborough, New Zealand.
