LinkedIn, frank body platform female leader's 'off script' career advice in new campaign

Professional networking platform LinkedIn has teamed up with Australian skincare brand frank body to launch a campaign aimed at empowering young women entering the workforce.

The initiative comes in response to LinkedIn data revealing that women lack confidence in the workplace when seeking new job opportunities. The data shows that men are 10% more confident than women, with 59% of women stating that receiving a rejection knocks their confidence, compared to 45% of men.

The campaign, which will be promoted across various online platforms including YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram, features a content series titled 'Off(ice) Script'. The series asks seven female leaders - Bree Johnson, Co-founder at frank body and Willow & Blake; Kristy Dickinson, Founder & Director Haus of Dizzy; Cayla Dengate, LinkedIn Australia Career Expert; Jo Barr, Head of Talent Acquisition at MECCA Brands; Rhiannon Joyce, Head of Business Development at Shameless Media; Rosie Chong, Personal Branding Expert; and Taz Zammit, Creator and Co-founder of @TeamTANDA App - to share their career advice for female graduates.

"When a door closes, look for a window. Everyone’s path will be different, and it might feel like you have to go backwards to go forwards. If you don’t feel like you fit anywhere, maybe you need to build the business you want to work in," offered Johnson.

"My best tip for female graduates entering the workforce is to use all the superpowers that make you a great friend – forming connections, keeping in touch, asking great questions – and applying that to networking," said Dengate.

"My top tip to a graduate getting into the workforce is be curious. It's amazing what can happen if you are curious and committed. Entry-level roles can lead into your dream job if you utilise the opportunity. Don’t fixate on a narrow role. Be as open-minded as you can as you may learn so much from a role you may not have considered. It may open your eyes to even more career options," shared Barr.

In addition to the content series, the campaign will offer LinkedIn learning courses and the chance to win prizes such as LinkedIn Premium subscriptions, frank body packs, and access to 1:1 mentoring sessions with experts.
