IMAA says its Digi-Byte event will illuminate Melbourne's digital landscape

The Independent Media Agencies of Australia (IMAA) is set to bring its Digi-Byte event to Melbourne, following a successful inaugural event in Sydney. Digi-Byte, a networking and education event designed to explore Australia's digital landscape, will be held at Fortress Melbourne on Tuesday, July 9.

The Digi-Byte series is sponsored by Blis, a Gold sponsor, and supported by GCA Media Network, ACM, Cool Media, and StackAdapt. The Melbourne event will feature a keynote presentation from Digital Immersion Co-Founder, Paco Albie. Attendees can also look forward to panel discussions and an immersive gaming experience, sponsored by GCA Media Network.

"Following the success of the Sydney Digi-Byte event, we are thrilled to extend our support to the Melbourne event. Melbourne's dynamic digital landscape makes it a crucial hub for innovation and growth in Australia, and with that, Blis wants to ensure our continued dedication to advancing the Melbourne adtech market," said Elias Psarologos, Blis Head of Sales Australia/New Zealand.

The inaugural Digi-Byte event was held in Sydney in May, with nearly 200 independent agency executives and media partners in attendance. The Sydney event also marked the launch of the IMAA Academy’s Digital 101 e-learning module.

"The IMAA is so important for the representation of indies in Australia, and we've loved attending past events; it’s great to be able to support such valuable resources for the industry through Digi-Byte," said Erin Holt, GCA Media Network Director of Advertising.

"Education and continuous upskilling within our industry lays the foundation to allow digital media minds at all levels to elevate their teams and clients. At StackAdapt, we believe in supporting this learning journey at events such as Digi-Byte," added Berina Colakovic, StackAdapt Director of Sales.

"We were overwhelmed with the response from the Sydney indie sector to our first-ever Digi-Byte event, and we’re looking forward to bringing the energy and excitement from the Sydney session to our members and partners in Melbourne," said Sam Buchanan, IMAA CEO.

The IMAA was established in February 2020 as a national industry body representing Australia’s independent media agencies.
