Vevo taps Nexxen SSP to expand programmatic footprint

Global ad-tech platform Nexxen has announced a partnership with music video network Vevo, a move that is set to expand the reach of both entities. The partnership will utilise Nexxen's supply-side platform (SSP), a tool that will aid Vevo in expanding its programmatic footprint. This collaboration is expected to allow a larger number of advertisers to access Vevo's premium inventory, particularly across Connected TV (CTV).

Vevo's library, which boasts over 900,000 music videos, attracts approximately 25 billion views worldwide each month. The partnership with Nexxen is expected to enable Vevo to leverage its inventory more effectively, driving additional demand through direct relationships, offering comprehensive deal capabilities and providing self-service tools.

"We’re thrilled to be able to count Vevo – an incredibly well-known music video network – among our premium publishing partners," said John Rogers, Vice President, Business Development at Nexxen. "Not only can our teams help Vevo elevate the value of their inventory, this new partnership also expands our audience reach and enhances the scale of our quality owned and operated content."

Nexxen's unique data capabilities are expected to enhance audience targeting, boosting Vevo’s programmatic monetisation efforts. Nexxen, headquartered in Israel with offices throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia-Pacific, is traded on the London Stock Exchange (AIM: NEXN) and NASDAQ (NEXN).

Vevo, founded by Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment in 2009, garners over 25 billion views across television, desktop and mobile devices each month. "Vevo is the bridge at the centre of the advertising landscape, connecting marketers with pop culture through streaming music television," said Rob Christensen, Executive Vice President, Global Sales at Vevo. "With Nexxen’s unique tech offerings and incremental demand, we’re opening up Vevo's sought-after ad inventory to new buyers, while continuing to drive our programmatic business forward."

This partnership is a significant step for both Nexxen and Vevo, potentially reshaping the landscape of music video advertising by combining the power of a global ad-tech platform with a leading music video network.
