Former Providoor CMO, DoorDash, MYOB marketer joins Lendi as customer growth head

The former senior marketer for DoorDash and CMO of Providoor, Michael McCash, has taken up the reins as head of customer growth at Lendi as a new-look leadership team settles in at the financial services business.

McCash's role covers both Lendi and the Aussie Home Loans divisions and commenced this week. He steps into the full-time gig after a six-month freelancing period that included working as a fractional CMO. He exited the meal delivery provider following the collapse of the Providoor business in May last year. It then re-emerged last October under the new ownership of Sam Benjamin, founder and managing director of venture capital firm, Seventh Street Ventures.

Also on McCash's resume is nearly two years with DoorDash as a senior manager and country marketer; head of marketing for health appointment app, HotDoc; global marketing management for Assembly Payments; and a senior marketing management stint covering enterprise marketing at Australia Post. His longest-serving role in marketing thus far was with MYOB as senior manager of growth marketing for five years.

In a LinkedIn post, McCash said the role ticked the boxes on all the things he loves: Marketing, Growth, and fast paced. Already, he said he's been at an offsite, undertaken an ice bath in the name of team building, seen the entire company come together for a quarterly planning session, strategising, negotiating, and aligning on goals, resources and capacity.

"It was an awe-inspiring view into Lendi's success," he commented. "A huge thank you to Emily Lonsdale [ Lendi Group GM of growth] for her leadership and for picking me - I can't wait to smash some audacious goals with you."

The appointment comes four months after Lendi announced a number of changes to its leadership structure, including new GM-level roles. These included Lonsdale's position, which oversees product, brand and performance teams at Lendi Group.

In addition, Devesh Maheshwari joined the business as GM of technology from consulting company Pantheras. Both side alongside general manager of data, Jade Clarke. Lendi has also brought on state-based GMs to support growth across its 1300-strong broker network.

The changes were announced after the exit of Lendi's former chief growth officer, Zara Cobb, in January. She's since joined Cashrewards as its chief marketing officer.
