ThinkNewsBrands, Australian Marketing Institute unite to boost media education for Australian marketers

ThinkNewsBrands and the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) have teamed up for a new strategic partnership aimed at enhancing media education and knowledge among Australian marketing professionals. The collaboration will introduce a series of webinars, perspective series events, and a new category for the annual AMI awards, focusing on the best use of News Publishing media among brands and advertisers.

The initiatives are designed to address the knowledge gap among marketers, often resulting from the outsourcing of media planning and buying to specialised agencies. The shared goal of the AMI and ThinkNewsBrands is to upskill marketers and empower them to excel in their careers and drive success for their brands.

CEO of ThinkNewsBrands, Vanessa Lyons, said: "The collaboration with the AMI, which advances the education and understanding of News Publishing media within the marketing community, is a critical step forward. Just like news publishing media, the AMI is highly credible and respected, and this collaboration will provide invaluable resources and opportunities for marketers to enhance their skills and knowledge in media."

The News Publishing webinars and education initiatives will be recognised and accrue CPD points for the AMI Certified Practising Marketer (CPM) accreditation. The first of many state-based thought leadership Perspectives Series events will be held in Melbourne on the 29th of August.

CEO of Australian Marketing Institute, Bronwyn Heys, said: "The partnership with ThinkNewsBrands aligns perfectly with our mission to support and elevate the marketing profession in Australia. The Perspectives Series and other initiatives will offer our members and the broader marketing community access to cutting-edge insights and expertise in News Publishing."
