Cricket hero Travis Head joins forces with Prepd in hydration drive

Prepd, a sports hydration and nutrition company, has announced a partnership with Cricket World Cup hero and South Australian captain, Travis Head. The cricketer joins the company as an equity holder and brand ambassador for their new product, Advantage+.

Advantage+ by Prepdis a ready-to-drink smoothie designed to be consumed as a liquid breakfast or mid-day boost. The product, backed by 25 years of science and research from Yale and Flinders Universities, contains patented sustained fibre for hydration. It comes in two flavours, Mango and Strawberry, and is designed to improve focus and cognitive function with Vitamin B12, optimise gut health and mental wellbeing with prebiotics, provide sustained energy throughout the day, and contain a unique fibre pioneered by Prepd.

"The decision to partner with Prepd and its new Advantage+ drink was a natural fit, not just professionally - but personally too. I'm all for a breakfast drink, especially during the test matches when the stakes are high and the cricket schedule is gruelling; I can't stomach too much," Head said.

"What excites me the most about this product is its suitability for both professional athletes and kids, making it a versatile and convenient option for families like mine. Both Jess and I are passionate about the dehydration problem Prepd is fixing, so we're thrilled to be part of the story."

The partnership with Travis Head is part of Prepd's strategy to deliver an Australian solution for the whole family. The partnership will complement the Prepd Advantage+ school breakfast and canteen onboarding program, which aims to address the 53% of children who are improperly hydrated during school and 16.3% children who are severely dehydrated.

"What makes Prepd stand-out in the sports nutrition category is that our history is rooted in 25 years of collaborative medical research. Now, with the launch of Advantage+ we're setting our sights on kids and families. Over 80% of Australians experience dehydration symptoms, yet most don't recognise the signs - and children are most at risk," says Andrew Perry, PREPD(r) CEO. "Teaming up with Travis was a no-brainer for us. His commitment and passion for nutrition, excellence and strong family values align perfectly with our brand," said Prepd CEO, Andrew Perry.

Prepd's history is rooted in over 25 years of collaborative medical research between Flinders and Yale Universities. The company was launched with the original goal to create a better oral rehydration solution (ORS) to treat severe dehydration in developing countries.
