IMAA appoints Es Chandra, Melissa Roberts and Angela Smith to leadership team
The Independent Media Agencies of Australia (IMAA) has appointed Es Chandra, Melissa Roberts and Angela Smith to its leadership team and is promising "big things" for 2023. Two years since launch, its membership has grown to 150 independent agencies.

The Independent Media Agencies of Australia (IMAA) has appointed Es Chandra, Melissa Roberts and Angela Smith to its leadership team.
Chandra is CEO of Perth-based Glide Agency, Roberts is founder and Director at Melbourne-based The Advertising Room and Smith is Chief Brand Officer at Sydney agency Affinity.
The trio join existing IMAA leadership team members Jacquie Alley (The Media Store), Phil McDonald (BCM), Steve Fagan (Media Republic), and Tom Frazer (Half Dome).
Two years since launch, the IMAA, which champions independent agencies as an alternative to multinational holding companies, now represents circa 150 agencies.
Board Director Darren McKenzie said the new leaders would help realise “big plans” for 2023. He thanked outgoing leader, MediaSmiths founder Angie Smith, for “tireless work, passion and energy”.
