Seven makes Katie Finney National TV Sales Director as Georgie Nichols exits

Seven West Media's leadership shakeup has continued with the appointment of Katie Finney as National Television Sales Director, succeeding Georgie Nichols.

Nichols is understood to have resigned from the role a month ago, but will remain with the company until August to aid the transition. It comes amidst sweeping redundancies at Seven, with the network confirming that 100-150 roles would be axed to make way for a new operating model.

Finney, who has more than 20 years of experience at Seven, will report directly to Angus Ross, Group Managing Director, Seven Television. Her responsibilities will include overseeing Seven's national television sales team.

Katie has been with Seven for more than 20 years, most recently as Director of 7RED, and her passion for Seven and television is unmatched. No one has a deeper understanding of our business or is better placed to help take us forward," said Ross. "On behalf of everyone at Seven, I'd like to sincerely thank Georgie for her contribution over the past six years. She made the decision to explore new opportunities several weeks ago and will leave with our gratitude and very best wishes," he said.

In her new role, Finney will work closely with Rachel Page, Seven's National Digital Sales Director, and Vikki Friscic, the newly appointed Head of Sales Strategy and Enablement.
